Join us on a Sunday Morning
If you're new to the Newark and Elkton areas, looking for answers, or searching for a fresh start,
our Sunday morning service is a great next step.
1
Arrive
Join us for our Sunday morning worship service at 10:30 AM. We are located on the corner of Old Baltimore Pike and Otts Chapel Rd. in Newark. Our main entrance and exit is off of Otts Chapel Rd.
Once you arrive, find a parking spot and make your way to the main auditorium entrance located on the South side of the building. Greeters will welcome you in the lobby and provide you with information and direction to the auditorium.
2
Have Kids?
If you have kids, we are excited to have them join our “Lighthouse Kids” Sunday ministries! If you have nursery age children (0-3 years), one of our greeters will direct you to our nursery in our children’s wing. All other children will begin the service in the main auditorium. During the song service, children K4-4th grade will be dismissed to Junior Church. If you’re staying for our Discipleship Group hour following the morning service, your children will remain in the children’s wing for Sunday School.
With safety being our top priority, we require all our children’s workers to have background checks done and specific child safety training before serving in our children’s ministries.
3
Worship Service
Our service will open with a greeting and brief announcements. We will then transition into a call to worship with Scripture and time of congregational singing of 3-4 hymns. One of our pastors will preach a verse-by-verse expository message from a book of the Bible we are working through that will last around 45 minutes. We often end our service with a hymn!
4
Discipleship Groups
Following our Worship service, we transition to our Discipleship Group hour. We have both discussion style groups, as well as teaching style groups to choose from. Greeters in the lobby will be available to direct you accordingly.
5
Get Connected
We know that getting to know people, building relationships, and finding your place can be a bit daunting, but we think that you’ll find the members of Lighthouse Baptist Church to be welcoming and friendly. Discipleship groups, ministries, and outreach teams are great ways to connected and grow in community. They provide wonderful ways to connect with Lighthouse Baptist. Join us on a Sunday morning and learn about the various ways to get connected.
